With over 15 years’ experience as a Chartered Civil Engineer, Teguh has delivered infrastructure projects across planning, design management, cost estimating, construction and commissioning. His experience across both contractor and client side environments allows him to understand project from both delivery, planning and commercial perspectives. “I focus on understanding the full scope early and identifying key risks and opportunities upfront. From there, it’s about working with the team to deliver the best possible outcome,” said Teguh. Teguh has worked across a broad range of major infrastructure projects throughout Queensland and interstate, with extensive experience in transport infrastructure, including road, rail, and aviation. His experience working across both contractor and client side environment has helped him understand the practical challenges of balancing programme, cost and constructability during project delivery.
More recently, Teguh has played a key role in the delivery of the Cross River Rail ETCS Shorncliffe Pilot Line, supporting the implementation of advanced rail signalling technology within a live brownfield corridor. Working across civil, structural, and multidisciplinary interfaces, he has been responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating stakeholders, subcontractors and multi disciplinary interfaces throughout delivery. “Working in a brownfield rail environment requires careful planning and strong coordination. There are always constraints, so it’s about finding practical solutions that keep the project moving while maintaining safety and quality,” he commented. What sets Teguh apart is his strong capability in cost estimating, risk modelling, and value engineering. His experience in developing first-principles estimates and undertaking detailed risk analysis allows him to support informed decision-making and deliver projects with greater certainty. “I enjoy the challenge of balancing cost, risk, and delivery. When you can bring those elements together effectively, it makes a real difference to the success of the project,” said Teguh. His approach is grounded in detail, structure, and collaboration. Whether working through design development, managing construction activities, or coordinating across multiple stakeholders, Teguh is known for his ability to bring clarity and direction to complex project environments. At GKL Group, Teguh is currently contributing as a Project Manager, supporting both project delivery and pre-contract activities. His role includes business case development, tender preparation, contractor coordination, and ongoing project management, with a focus on achieving quality outcomes for clients. “I enjoy being involved across different stages of a project. From early planning through to delivery, it’s rewarding to see how each phase contributes to the final outcome, to be useful for next generations to come” he added.
