Meet Ellee – Driving Practical Outcomes Through Experience and Adaptability

With over eight years’ experience in the civil construction industry, Ellee brings a well-rounded and practical approach to project delivery. Having worked across both 1st and 2nd Tier contractors, she has developed a deep understanding of construction from the ground up. This experience continues to add value across every project she is involved in.

“I focus on understanding the outcome first, then working collaboratively with the team to find the best way to deliver it,” said Ellee.

Ellee’s background spans a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and civil works, including major road upgrades, industrial developments, and aviation projects. Her time working on complex projects such as the Gold Coast Airport Southern Terminal Expansion and Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade has shaped her ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, highly coordinated environments.

More recently, Ellee has played a key role in the development of the laydown area at the Port of Townsville. She has supported the planning and delivery of critical infrastructure designed to accommodate large-scale renewable energy components.

“It’s been a great opportunity to be involved in a project that supports renewable energy infrastructure. Knowing the work contributes to something bigger is really rewarding,” commented Ellee.

What sets Ellee apart is her ability to balance technical expertise with strong communication and team engagement. She thrives in collaborative environments and works closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure outcomes are not only achieved, but delivered efficiently and with clarity.

“I enjoy working across different teams and disciplines. Strong communication makes a big difference, especially on complex projects where coordination is critical,” she said.

Her approach is grounded in practical problem solving. Whether navigating design challenges, coordinating site activities, or managing competing priorities, Ellee is known for her resourcefulness and ability to find solutions that keep projects moving forward.

At GKL Group, Ellee is currently contributing as a Project Engineer, supporting the delivery of works tied to emerging large-scale infrastructure initiatives. Her role includes managing design processes, coordinating contractors, and ensuring quality and commercial outcomes are achieved, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and performance.

“I like being involved from early planning through to delivery. Seeing a project come together on site is always one of the most rewarding parts of the job,” added Ellee.

Ellee’s commitment to continuous improvement and her proactive mindset make her a valuable part of the GKL team. She brings not only technical capability, but also a genuine drive to deliver successful project outcomes from start to finish.
