Peer Review and Procurement Support

GKL Group was engaged to peer-review the design strategy for Sediment Pond Three, a high-efficiency sediment basin and diversion channel supporting the environmental compliance obligations of the Stuart Landfill.

Working collaboratively with Council and the original designer, we refined the scope, clarified design intent and resolved gaps created by earlier planning-stage iterations. During this process we identified the need for additional planning approvals and coordinated liaison with DESI and other referral agencies to ensure regulatory alignment.

We also undertook budget and cost reviews to support Council's capital planning and keep the project commercially viable. Following further due diligence and risk-based investigations, GKL Group prepared comprehensive, procurement-ready tender documents, enabling the project to progress with a clear, compliant and buildable solution.
