Design Management

The GKL Group team are proud to assist Townsville City Council with managing the design process on multiple projects.

The process of managing the design aspect for the local authority typically includes:

• Taking the brief from the asset manager or relevant officer
• Further development of the scope of works if required
• Understanding the budgeting and other parameters
• Facilitating the tender process for design
• Go to market for a designer
• Engage the designer commercially on behalf of Townsville City Council (TCC)

 
Depending on the project, we are then sometimes required to:

• Manage the design process
• When a final approved design is in place, manage the engagement of the construction contractor or liaise with other members of TCC for this stage
