Defence Industry Project Update

We recently attended the Defence Industry Project Update in Townsville to hear more about the progress of major projects supporting the Defence industry.

The event was hosted by the Defence Industry Hub and included presentations from:

• Strategic Overview of Defence development in North Queensland - John Caligari, AO, DSC
• NQ SPARK – Mick Reilly
• Office of Defence Industry Support – Kate Sullivan
• Cairns Marine Precinct – Belinda Hutchinson, DSDILGP
• BGIS – Jarrod Davidson
• NQ Mid-Term Refresh Project (HMAS Cairns, Townsville Field Training Area, RAAF Base Townsville) – Carmelo DiBella, CPB Contractors
• NQ Mid-Term Refresh Project (Lavarack Barracks) – Erin Kiernan on behalf of Aurecon

​It was great to hear about progress on each project and gain a better understanding of the North Queensland Defence industry supply chain.
 
In addition, the event provided a great opportunity to speak with other industry representatives in attendance.
